Mesa, Arizona – Vesda & Fire Alarm Installation
CFP was retained to provide installation services for a large-scale Vesda air sampling and fire alarm system in Mesa, Arizona. The project scope required extensive coordination with Convergint, who supplied the equipment, while CFP delivered labor, installation, and system integration support.
The Vesda installation included approximately 58,000 feet of ¾” piping, fittings, and beam-clamp hangers. CFP provided installation labor, lifts, and hangers, and terminated all panel points with the exception of 110 VAC. Although Vesda panels were supplied and programmed by others, CFP played a key role in commissioning support, supplying an on-site Project Manager, Site Supervisor, two-person cleanup crew, Quality Control Safety Officer, and FPE site testing certification. The system included fiber and CAT 6 Class A network connections pulled through EC-provided conduit.
For the fire alarm scope, CFP installed and terminated all copper wiring for devices, panels, power supplies, and networking connections across multiple areas, including Shells 1 & 2, the FSA, ACCs, MEVs, LEV, security kiosk, and mechanical yard. CFP’s responsibilities included pulling fiber optic cable for Vesda and fire alarm systems, fusion splicing of Corning single-mode fiber, and full certification for signal loss. Terminations covered booster circuits, splice boxes, test switches, duct detectors, annunciators, LOCs, and headend equipment such as the FACP, transponders, and workstations.
By combining technical expertise with strong quality control, CFP delivered a fully integrated, code-compliant Vesda and fire alarm system. CFP’s detailed installation, rigorous testing, and collaborative commissioning provided a reliable life safety solution tailored to the facility’s needs.
